Excel data in idws IV10

Hello,
I've created the basis for a series of data sheets, this sheet has two loads
of Excel data being linked to it, not embedded. Me being the "productive"
person that I am, well the workflow is this,
copy the basic version using DA,
copy the assembly aswell,
renumber accordingly,
open the new idw,
link to new Excel data
copy this sheet back to the existing drawing.

When you view the newly pasted sheet in the existing drawing, the Excel data
is there and displayed, but it's not in the browser and IV's telling me
something isn't referenced correctly.

Bug or as designed 😕

Thanks

Scott

OK then, just finished all the data sheets using the workflow, no
abnormalities that cannot be got over by another workflow. The only side
effect is that only 2 out of the 10 referenced Excel sheets are showing in
the browser, if I were browser orientated, I'd be gutted, but I'm not.

Scott,

What exactly is the message when it is telling you that something isn't
referenced correctly? What was different in your subsequent work flow that
prevented this problem? I don't suppose you would be willing to share your
data set, meaning your parts, assemblies, Excel data files, source and
destination drawing?

If I were you, I would report this problem to Autodesk using one of the five
ways mentioned in Kent Keller's Inventor FAQ (last one was dated 25-jul-05).
Just a suggestion...
