Errors using help

When I start the Hellp and click on "Getting Started", I get this error. I
tried doing a "Repair", but still have the same problem.

Any ideas?

What version of Internet Exploder are you using?

Perhaps try repairing Internet Exploder? The error isn't generated by
Inventor, it's generated by IE.

I figured you were using IE4.0 or 5.0. I've seen that before with older
versions of IE.

Something else I have noticed.... I don't have any problems with the help
from other applications, only Inventor.

I reinstalled Inventor... Same problem.

There seems that there is a setting somewhere that is not right.

Ashley,

Is that a patch for IE or IV? I've tried (I think) all the IE updates
(running NT4, by the way) and still have the plague.

It is an IE patch. If you are running NT you might also try this patch:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/c/c/8/cc8a7962-f72f-4358-a13d-326be29d3623/HHUPD.EXE

it updates the HTML Help application that is used to run the help system. I
have also heard that installing IE6 SP1 has fixed the problem for some
users. You might also try patch Q828750 based on Kirk A.'s posting on
10/28/2003. I hope this helps.
