Hey all, I've recently been contacted via telephone by Autodesk in regards to issues with Autodesk Inventor 2013 and Vault 2013 (free version). I was asked to put together a list of issues that I felt needed to be addressed and would later be included in a conference call with Autodesk software engineers. I think this might be a good opportunity to get some input from the community. If you want me to mention anything, post a reply and I'll do my best to run it past the engineers.
Does anybody know of a good resource to figure out the new Color/textures styles editing?

Just a slightly more modular software construction, so that new features can be more easily started as Labs or Subscription Advantage Packs rather than being tightly integrated into the program. The latter makes it particularly difficult to diagnose problems and implement solutions without impacting other features.
The the new appearance library is way out there. It would be nice to have an option to use 2012 setings. We use Inventor to produce sheetmetal parts not photo realistic presenations.
I cant see a need to change material in the sheet-metal environment.
I think it would be awsome is for an option in the IPART Factory have a mirror image option.

When I have a part that is a true mirror af another the part - I will call it the part number +_M for the file name. My BOM will show qty of 1 parent part and 1 child_M miror part. So I have to edit each parts list qty & item number. To show there are 2 parts alike & one is simply formed opposite but the punched parts are one in the same.
