Kev,
Inventor stores the location and size of certain dialog boxes in the
registry. If you used dual display and had previously moved the text dialog
box to the 2nd display, then Inventor is attempting to display the dialog in
a now offscreen position. This is a known issue with dual display.
The fix is to remove the keys from the registry that store this dialog
information. That will cause all the dialogs to revert to their default
positions. They keys are located here:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\Inventor\RegistryVersion12.0\System\Preferences\Dialog

Anytime I try to edit the text in my IDW, the "edit text" dialogue box
flashes on the screen, then disappears. I re-installed Inventor, problem
still there. Any ideas?
I did have 2 monitors, now I only have one, not sure if this had anything to
do with it or not. Also in AutoCAD, the same thing happens when I try to
click on the layers button.
