Is it possible to prevent ray tracing from automatically starting every time the realistic visual style is chosen? I'd rather not have to click the 'Ray Tracing' button in the Appearance panel or click the 'Disable' button in the tracing dialog box.
I've searched through the application options and don't see any options for ray tracing. Hopefully I'm missing something obvious here.
One observation: you also need select the 'Use Application Settings' radio button to force files from using saved ray trace settings. I had a fuel rail design that must have saved previous ray tracing info. Selecting this option stopped it from tracing even though it was disabled in the application options.
