DIN 5482 Spline in Design Accelerator

There has been the odd unanswered question about DIN 5482 Spline and it's inability to be found from within the Spline Generator.

And I am wondering if anyone out there has worked out the problem as to why DIN 5482 is not an option from within the Spline Generator when the XML file clearly exists in Design Data Directory.

C:\Users\Public\Documents\Autodesk\Inventor 2012\Design Data\Design Accelerator\Tables\SplinesInv\DI...

Any clarity on this would be greatly appreciated.

Involute splines are difficult to model and it is frustrating when you know there could be a less cumbersome way to generate them could already exist from within the program.

P.S. I realise DIN 5482 is not the preferred option any more and we are all being encouraged to not use it in new designs. But there are still an awful lot of motors out there with this Standard on their shafts that need to be designed around to suit.

Thanks Clint
