Dimensioning to a spline in an orthographic drawing

I am currently attempting to dimension to a spline in an orthographic drawing and running into some issues. I can't seem to find a way to properly dimension rather than making microscopic holes in the piece and that way giving the .idw something to grab on to for dimensioning. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Welcome to the forum.

Have you tried placing a point on the spline and dimensioning to that?

to add previous information

add points to spline and the Retrieve Sketch in the drawing.

This gets a bit more complicated when the drawing spline is not from sketch but a result of profile of something like a loft.  Might need to add workpoints at pierce points in that case.
