Dimension "Jumps" when placed

When I try to place a dimension, the extention line moves to some point in
space. I can get it close by dragging the extention line over, but it stays
magenta colored and does not update when the model changes. I also keep
getting the "One or more of the definition points are no longer
attached...." nag window.

I have attached a view here. The red colored dimension is what I get, the
magenta colored dim is what I want. The point that I want to dimension to
is where the horizontal line meets the angled line.

Thanks,
Kirk

Have you tried picking 1 line, then RMB, picking intersection, then picking
the other line? I am not sure if it will work or not. (My IV is busy so I
can't check)

If that doesn't work, you might try making a sketch and placing a point
there.

I don't *think* points come through. I believe he will have to create a
tiny eeeny weeny little line if he needs to go this route.

Yup my bad. I forgot about points not coming through. Kind of strange that if all you do
in a new sketch is place a point it won't even save the sketch.???... but it does count it
as a so that when you do make a sketch it will be 1 number higher.
