detailing in IDW

I need to turn off visability of a number of assembly's in an .idw and are wondering the quickest way to do this.
At one stage I had the main .iam in the drawing browser and was able to pick assembly's from there to turn off visability. Then I lost it and can't find it again!
Any help appreciated and is there any tutorials available on the finer points of .idw creation?
Thanks.

You can right click on the view in the browser and select show contents.
From there you can right click on parts and turn off their visibility.

Gary,

The "best" way to control visibility is by using Design Views created in the
Assembly and applied to views in the IDW's. Design Views can be applied
during view creation also.

What you had in the Browser in the IDW (the assembly heirarchy) was created
by using the RMB context menu over a view (on screen or in the browser) and
selecting "show contents".

Yes, I would recommend you use this approach over Kents (no offense Kent - LOL). I've found the Design View approach exponentially faster and you don't get heap errors.

Yes, Quinn and Rich are correct. Design views are a better approach. I guess the mention
that he had seen them in the browser before made me explain that approach.

Bowing my head in shame.

You will also see capacity improvements by using design views to control
visibility.
