Detail Views

I have one heck of a time adjusting the detail views, what is the trick
selecting the green dot to stretch the boundary?

Yes, drag the center green dot to move the detail and the outside dots to resize. Pick and drag the detail letter to rotate it around.

What problems are you having?

Every time I try to select and drag on the green
dot it just drags the whole background view. Sometimes I get lucky and it will
resize, but 98% of the time not.

It's not a problem for me as long as I make sure my cursor is over a green dot before I click and drag.

You can try the Select Other tool. You can also go to Edit Select Filters (in the drop down between the Redo and Return buttons) and turn off the View selection.

Hope this helps.

You probably need to zoom in a bit. If that doesn't
work, change the locate tolerance in "Tools-->Application Options". IV sues
this setting to determine how close to pick when selecting (like ACAD's Aperture
size) Play around with that setting a bit.

Well none of this helps me select the outer edge
dots, I can pick and move the center one just fine. I have adjusted
the locate tolerance setting and zooming doesn't help either. Guess I'll have to
cross my fingers and will it to work.

Thanks

Jerry,

Did you try the tips I mentioned in my second post? At the very least the Filter option should do what you need.
