You can create the view on the sheet where the main view is then you can copy and paste to the other sheet or simply drag it in the browser from the 1st sheet to the second sheet.
Or, you can place the view you want out of your page boundary(on the page sheet you want the detail to be on of course), make the detail view you want, and then suppress the main view that you got the detail from.

I'm uisng Inventor 2008, and can't seem to get either one of these options to work for me. Any idea why?
