Designed part now showing as one solid base.

One of my designed parts is now displaying as a solid body. All the extrusions and holes I have created are now just one solid body that I can not edit. How can I change this.

The model should be one solid body.  Just with a lot of features.

Did you create this model from scratch?  Can you post some images of your model browser?

What version are you using?

Any solid body can be edited.
Any Base solid can be edited.

Are you sure it is not a surface body?

Did you use the Delete Face command?

Did you save as IGES or STEP or some other format?

Did you Derive Component?

here is a SS of the model tree. I created the part from scratch and now it seems to display as a Base Solid. I am using Inventor 2014.

What environment are you working (you cut off too much of the screen)?

What is the purpose of the threaded features?

Can you attach an actual *.ipt file here rather than image file?

Note that in your image everything appears gray indicating that you are not in the modeling environment.

What happens if  you

1. Close Inventor

2. Reboot the computer?

I am quite sure you have left out a lot of information about how you got to where you are now.

I am in the Base model enviornment. My goal is for me to be able to revert the Base1 in my SS and turn it back into all of the extrudes and holes that I initially created for this part befor it became all just one body.

The threaded features are to simulate the threads the part would normaly have.

In my previouse post I stated I could not edit the part. What I meant to say was that I can not edit the individual extrusions that I created. I can only edit the base model's faces.

The first thing I noticed is that "Base1" has a green check mark which indicates that this part was imported and was checked on import.

So, you didn't create this part from scratch.  That explains why all of those features are lumped together.

Now, there are ways to break up the model into seperate features, but in looking at it, you would probably save some time by just recreating this model seeing it is pretty simple.

This should get you started.

You never did provide full information on how you got to that state?
