DESIGN REVIEW BUILD VERSION 4.1.0.87 "STICKY"

Hi All
O.K. new problem for me, recently installed Inventor 2008, now when I open
DWF supplied by clients rotating and viewing sticks and jumps. Viewer seems
very slow to drag or rotate.
I have tried my own files as well as samples under the Inventor install
directory "Samples"

What good be wrong
Regards
Wayne

Wayne,

Do you have the latest graphics drivers for your video card? You should make sure that hardware acceleration is enabled on the card.

Can describe the nature of the data? Some interesting things to look for would be

- Drawings or parts/assemblies?
- How large are the data sets?
- Are the parts prismatic or are there a lot of splines?

You may also want to post your question on the Autodesk Design Review form. They may have more insight into the viewer problems.

Mine was that way until I adjusted the options in DR. Sorry, but I cannot
remember which I changed. The install defaults are lousy.

Hi Dennis
Hope all is well, thanks for help. Switched off "Show the View Cube" Viola -
problem solved. Now just wondering why this is the case but at least I am
able to rotate model.

I wonder why they ship it with this option on... I'm sure that it
discourages people from using DWF
