Derived Part Color?

Is there any way to force a derived assembly to just use the part colors
instead of becoming one solid lump color. Basically when I derive and mirror
an assembly I want the colors to carry over...
Thanks

Brian

In 5.3, no.

In 6.0, no.

Beyond that, maybe we should provide a way to do that?

Brian,

After the assembly is derived and you expand the derived feature to see
the "parts", you can RMB on the gold balls and specify individual colors
in the same vein as feature properties.

OK thanks group...

Quinn That will be a little messy with a big assm mirror but it may be the
only way. Thanks..

Gary, If it could be done that would be great. If you are creating an
on-screen or avi presentation of a file the mirrored assemblys are one block
color which looks silly. I just want a mirrored assm to look the same for
display purposes...

eeewwww, If you go to the second level you can't specify the "feature"
colors.

Any chance of including opposite hand details of these mirrored assemblies
any time soon?
