Derive Error

I have a .iam that I have of two parts... a Nest Block and the part and no
matter were I place the block I get the same result. The thing that is
(edited) is that both different ways I have tried it the Nest Block is in two
different areas and I get same error. Does not make sense to me. Anyone else
having bad luck with doing this?

In the end we will be doing stuff like this alot. We will be able to make
the nests right out of IV to give to the CNC department for them.

If you could post the files to Inventor Customer files it might help.
Hard to say what is going on from just the pictures.

Nathan,

This error indicates a "boolean" failure. Typically this happens when you
are trying to join two parts with complex geometry. In your case I strongly
suspect that your part's body is not in a healthy state. You could probably
confirm it by trying to add another feature like a hole to your part. You
may also try to sat out the body and read it back in. (If your part body is
not bad, it's probably one of those cases where you have a difficult boolean
situations involving relatively simple geometry)

Okay I will Sat it out and then try to read it back in. The process for the
parts are: We get the part data from our customer and have a outside company
translate our parts for us. I would post them on the files side of the news
server, but not sure if that would be a good idea because they are actual
parts from our customer.
