Density in lbs-in^3 ? How to get rid of the g/cm^3 units?

How can I change the density units by default: g/cm^3.

I'm working in imperial units, using : lbs-in^3

Thanks,

I mean when you go to:
Format - materials

Look at the density units...

Should the settings under Tools - Document Settings - Units effect the default units under Format - Materials ?. I have all units set to Imperial but the material properties are still entered in metric units. Try to make a new material. What are the units? Thanks

When I started using Inventor, I found the same thing. My VAR asked
Autodesk about it, and they said I couldn't change it. Autodesk also said
that they put it in metric, because for the most part that sort of
information was published in Metric more than Imperial. I think out of all
the materials I have created, I have only been able to find metric units in
1 case. I use www.matweb.com they have both Metric and Imperial.

I've always hated this too. Always have to convert when making a new material. Should have a choice!

There are Inventor's internal units of measure. We just need to all go
metric anyway (and this is an American suggesting this)

I'll second that! ISO is a much cleaner system IMWO. Besides it's hard to
measure a foot and mine's only about 8 3/4" anyway.

...and you're both about to get your degrees in 1st angle projection too,
right?

Is there some reason/advantage/necessity/whatever to choose one (1st vs.
3rd) over the other or is it just political; same reason we measure our
feet?
