I'm not Dennis, but I read this anyway.
Just curious have you tried the transitional constraint with other files, or is the issue related to just this data set? I don't have 2011 handy so I can't check, just curious.
hi
ok, no problem but i want any body from autodesk answer to me, why this happening in Inventor 2011, but in Inventor 2010 thats work correct
and i need this for my project, but this project is very larg assembly and i can't send it for u, then i try this in the small assembly for show and send on this site
when i drag the pin, i can't move to after fillet face, pin stop
ok, maybe i wrong about dennis , sorry
i send my file and in my last post told about a large assembly but i can't send that
but two part and assembly in my post is like a parts of my larg assembly
make a small 2 part assembly with the most basic features needed to demostrate the translational constraint tools, and then test it on those files to rule out that is is not a issue isolated to the files you posted.
yes i just send 2 part in assembly like my large assembly
yes, it does not work, and i need it for my assembly
I'm flattered. I work with Autodesk, but I do not work for Autodesk.... 🙂
I'm extremely busy at the moment, but I'll get back with you as soon as possible.
sorry, I was not understanding that you had tested it on another file set. Sounds like indeed you have.

I got it to work on a different set of faces using splines, but couldn't get it to work right with your default geometry.

please send me ur file, because i want do my job and fix my assembly

okeeyyyy men, i say sorry ok
Looks like they really broke this one.
As an experiment I deleted your constraint and moved the pin to the outside of the plate.
Added Transitional constraint to pin and outside of plate.
Worked fine dragging around 90° corners.
Edited the plate adding 5mm fillets to 4 corners.
Transitional no longer worked - hung at fillet face.
dear dennis
i waiting for u please help
it's important for me
I cannot add more than JD and the others have. I've found that using a single surface created from a single spline worked the best in the past for transitional constraints. I'm buried in meetings for the next week, and only have a few moments of time, much of it away from my PC to post here. Possibly I can look at it this weekend, but no promises,
