Define keep out zones

I have a complex box, one side of which is a prited wiring board. I need to
define keep out zones for all the mechanical parts that set on the surface
of the pwb. My first thought is to create a sketch on the pwb and project
the needed geometry. Is there a way to work with such a sketch in an idw
(can't do it in R5.3)? I want it to be visible and dimesionable in the idw.

I don't want to have to recreate all the planer geometry in an idw sketch to
define these zones (too complex, and I've already done the work in the
model)!

In the end, I want to convert the idw to a dwg and send it to the pwb layout
person.

I'm sure I'm asking too much!

Does save as DWG or DXF work with some clean up?

You can bring in sketch geometry in R6. Show Contents/(+)/RMB/Get Model
Sketches I think. It should bring in an unconsumed sketch.
