Anyone else see this posting? I assume this was done for a reason. Perhaps the starting point of phasing out the idw format?

I'm starting to envision a battle-scarred no-mans-land that cuts through Autodesk HQ, with the AutoCAD army in one set of trenches, and the Inventor army on the other side.
The now-bleached white bones of Mechanical Desktop lay littered about the pock-marked moonscape.

Do they call a truce on Christmas day and eat dinner together in the middle of the no-man's-land?
They no longer get Inventor but do get Alias Design

Which was in a Design News Product Info email about Morgan Motor Company.
Notice anything missing?"
I could understand that for the swoopy surfacing stuff, but the more mechanical bits?
As far as I know Inventor can open Alias files but AutoCAD can't.

Depends on the quarterly sales numbers.
Thank you all for your feedback surrounding the drawing default in Inventor 2015. DWG was selected as the new default option in Inventor Home in order to promote interoperability advantages for file sharing and viewing, as well as give new users a clear starting point. We definitely understand that many Inventor users prefer IDW – for a multitude of reasons. Rest assured, you can easily switch your default drawing format to IDW in your application options. More info here.
Also, there have been a few concerns raised about the future of IDW - please know that IDW file format isn’t going anywhere. Thank you again for your lively feedback, we appreciate it, and hope you enjoy Inventor 2015!
