DATABASE SCHEMA - AGAIN FOR INVENTOR 11

I have looked at numersous Database Schema is newer than this version of the software help files.

NONE of them fit the problem.

I have un-installed and re-installed the SAME INVENTOR 11 that created the original files.  When trying to open the files (that this particular program created) I get the above error message.

NO other versions, test, samples, views or any other product has been installed, removed, or otherwise started and stopped.

1)  So, why doesn't the original program open its own files?

2)  How do I access the hundred plus files that this program created?

This is the first time you mentioned trying to run Inventor 11 on Win 8 OS.

Attach example *.ipt file that Inventor "11" won't open.

Not sure why you would be getting this problem, but iProperties would seem to indicate that you have not installed Service Packs or Hot fixes (updates) for  that release.  Not sure where you would find those for an old release.

No longer a problem - on either computer

The original one (XP) is now DED (dead - won't work at all)

The New one (Win 8.1) won't even start. It used and give the same SCHEMA problem - Now it doesn't even start.

Thanks for the help - much appreciated.
