Cut Flange to a Slope

What I have is a bracket that sits on a pitched roof (ipt attached). The part was set up to reflect the positioning. On the lower side of the pitch, the easiest thing was to scuplt the flanges to the slope. Although the flat pattern results in some edges not being perpendicular to the face (See image). These show on the drawing. I realize you can remove these in the drawing but it would be nice to not worry about it.

What would be a better way of handling this situation?

Extrude the basic shape.
Fillet (bend radius)

Delete the bottom faces and corner radii

Trim the flanges and rips.

Thicken towards the outside.

I experimented with this method but was wondering if maybe there was something more that could be done after the flange tool to treat the corners.

This is a very good straight forward solution.

Thanks for the help.

Not in the IV 2010, but in later releases the miter corners can be specified while defining the flanges. Or so I was told. But even in the IV 2010 the model still can be improved. In the attached version the whole part is made entirely in sheet metal module. That, in turn, has reduced the amount of entries in the browser.

Best Regards,

Igor.
