Cropped Section Views

Sorry for this guys but I'm still used to Solid Works and having the ability to crop views. All I see in Inventor is the ability to break views. How do I draw a rectangle or any other shape around the area of a view I want to keep and then crop it?

Thanks, Mark S.

Detail view? Think you have a choice of circular and rectangular fence. If
you don't want to show the parent view it can moved off sheet or can reference
a parent view on another sheet. Don't believe there's a way to have a partial
view without a parent (bit of a bummer).

Ouch! Cropped views are a big deal for many drafting situations. I tried a broken view of the sectioned view but you can't do that either. That would also be another situation I could think of.

I can't believe you cannot hide a view you do not wish to display. That's a simple programming fix. In fact all of this is. Get on it Autodesk! You're at version 7 now!

Just move it off the sheet?

Yeah but doesn't that effect the zoom extents? In SW zoom extents ignores the hidden views.

Thanks, Mark S.

Yes it probably does. Since I hardly ever use zoom extents.....

Zoom All zooms in on the sheet. Any views outside of the boundary of the
sheet are ignored.

It's more like "zoom format" and doesn't, "off sheet" stuff is pretty much
ignored. Workflow and perfomance issues in multi file drawings were my only
complaints related to that issue.
