Creating Solid part from .step file

Hi,

I have recieved a .step file and am trying to convert this into a solid part. I have tried using the stitch feature however this doesn't seem to work, any ideas?

Thanks

Tom

Yes, here is an idea - zip and attach you STEP file here.

 or

read this http://home.pct.edu/~jmather/AU2008/ML205-1P%20Mather.pdf

(as a start - doesn't cover the newer Repair Environment).

Or you could go back to where you got the step file from and ask for a different file format.  Preferably Inventor (.ipt) or Solidworks (.sldprt).

Thanks, I've had a look at the document but haven't made progress so I've attached the compressed step file. Any help would be appreciated.

I used the sculpt tool to turn it into a solid body. Is that what you were looking for?
