Creating a custom drawing template

I want to create my own company standard drawing format.
I started with the standard idw, the default file. Then I sketched material and finish box along with rev box. Setup my own drafting standard and saved copy as into the template directory of inventor. When I begin a new idw based on that file, when I open it, all the sketched features that I created do not appear.
What am I doing wrong? I'm following the book step by step, I think. I must be missing something.

As I remember sketched features won't stay in the graphics. They must be
inserted from the sketched symbol folder each time.

OK, I "created a new title block" from scratch and defined its name which I can now insert. However the rev block on top moves when I edit sheet size a,b, c etc.
Do I need to create a custom rev block also and name that which can be inserted?
Thanks Bill

If you're using IV6 there is a rev block command,
if you want to use it.

If not, I'd suggest making a symbol you can
insert. There are probably tips & tricks on

Ah Ha, I just viewed Seans website on titleblock creation and thats the kind of help I was looking for. Step by step procedure. I was using a book I have but it's very vauge as far as this topic goes. Plus I don't really have a good understanding of how this Inventor idw formats work yet.
I have beeen using the default formats and typing in material and finish etc. I can't go on like that.
Thanks Bill
