Crashing while assembling

I have one of these (http://www.3dconnexion.com/products/spacenavigator.html) Its a nice tool but if I touch it at all when I'm in the act of assembling stuff, like actually have the assemble button pressed, its instant crash. Its easy enough to work around I was just curious if there was something I could do.

What version of Inventor?
Go to the 3D Connexion Control Panel and click Calibrate.
Does the behavior persist?

Which version of Inventor are you using?

If 2012 try installing SP1 and see if you still have the crash

After adding the service pack the crashing stopped compeltely even with huge assemblies. Thank you much!
