We are having an intermitant fault with Autodesk Inventor 2014.
Steps:
1. Open a drawing,
2. Create a view,
3. Select the view,
4. Hit 'S' to create a view associated sketch,
5. Inventor bails without warning.
This is an intermitant fault, so it doesn't happen all the time - but it can be all the more fraustraing as a result.
Has anyone else come across this problem?
Paul
Hi Paul,
Many thanks for you to feedback this to us! And it is not reproducible for me. Could you send the error report to us when the crash happens again? And please let us know the email address you used to submit the report. So that we could make more investigation based on the error report.
Hi River,
We just experienced the Crash again. The crash report was sent in under the email adress Paulm [at] Halstock.com.
Please could you let me know that you've recived the crash report - even if you can't do anything about the crash?
Cheers,
Paul
Nothing irregular in the process. First tempt.
I will test it more times, regularly.

Paul,
Looking at the crash report, this particular crash is a result of the 3DConnexion device trying to interact with Inventor while you are working in a drawing. We are investigating a possible fix, but the workaround for the moment would be to avoid using the 3DConnexion device while sketching within a drawing.
That's brilliant Mike Cheers!
We don't recall using the 3DConnexion mouse whiles creating sketches, but we will be more vigilant of it from now on and let you know if we observe anything else.
Thanks again,
Paul
