Craeting Organic Shapes

Hello,

Are there any tutorials available on how to create organic shapes in Inventor 2008? For example, I've tried many ways to create an egg shape but to no avail. Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks. Edited by: dalyk on Mar 10, 2009 2:50 PM

I'm in 2009 today... Not exactly a pure organic shape, but
it's a egg...

If you are having trouble creating an egg you might not be ready for these, but here are some tutorials

http://home.pct.edu/~jmather/content/DSG322/inventor_surface_tutorials.htm

How much training have you had?
Can you zip and attach what you have so far?

Hi,

I'm a new user of Autodesk Inventor. Attached is a file of what I'm trying to create. I thought that an egg shape was a good place to start but maybe there is another shape I should consider. I'm trying to create the object that is just above the hand. This is basically a mouse with a trackball on the top. Any suggestions that you have for creating this object would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Sorry about that. I'll try again. Please excuse the sketching skills but this is what I'm trying to create.

Zip and attach the ipt file here.
You can zip a file by right clicking on the filename and selecting Send to Compressed (zipped) Folder. It is suggested that you first drag the red End of Part marker to the top of the feature history tree to make the file as small as possible.

Sketch1, 3 and 6 are not constrained. I would start here -

http://home.pct.edu/~jmather/AU2007/MA105-1L%20Mather.pdf

Is this a school assignment?
After going through the above link I would then go through these tutorials

There should be a link the the zipped files at the bottom of the first page.

There should also be a link at the second url given previously.
