Copy ilogic Form via API to several documents

I created an iLogic Form (and some code) in my Inventor drawing template. Now I want to copy this objects by a vb.net script to other drawings. The copy funktion for the iLogic code and the triggers is working fine. But how to copy the Form?

Has anybody an idea?

I would look into code injector. Have you condered having the rules and forms on external path maybe.

The code injector is a great project an helps me a lot. But this is only for the iLogic code and the triggers and not for the Forms.

Yes, I agree so that's why I asked you if you can have the form as external. Would that be an option in your case?

Sorry, misunderstand the question...

It could be a way to set the Form(s) as global, but where is the saving Path of the global Forms, and could it set to a network path as well?

Yes, we have it on a mapped network drive. Need to set it up in options ilogic configuration.

Ahh... some things are so easy and you didn´t see them. The global Forms are saved in the DesignData folder.

Thank you very much for open my eyes Smiley Wink

Stefan, I wrote a blog last year about copying global forms to an other computer. Maybe you can find some information in there: copy-global-forms-to-other-computers/
To find the folder where your form is saved Right click in the Global Forms window and choose “Open Containing Folder”. At this point i can't check if it's posible to set a network path for your global forms.

Rob,

the Path for the global Forms is in the Inventor Design Data folder. For this, we still use a network path. So at the moment you create a new global Form, everyone connected to the Desig Data folder get´s this Form. The possibility for using a network path is given.

Stefan
