Convincing Management of 3D

Ok, it's come down to this. After 2 years, our upper management has yet to
decide to make IV the default CAD package for our company. They STILL believe
they can be more productive in 2D then 3D. Therefore, we are still using AutoCAD
for 90% of our work. The engineering manager and I are trying to put together a
case for making the switch. For this to happen, we are going to need case
studies/testimonials/ROI studies for companies that have made the switch from 2d
to 3d. This info has to be non-affiliated with a CAD company (i.e. Case studies
on adesk's web site are useless.) Specifically we want examples from our
industry. We design special automation machines. Any info, web sites, articles
etc you wonderful people could point me to would be much appreciated. Sean D., I
believe you could be especially helpful here. Thanks in advance!

P.S. Follow the link provided under my name for more info about what we do.

Oh, yes, I've considered it. I've even been offered a job there. Unfortunately,
there is no way my wife would agree to move there. She has too many ties to
Michigan. However, there is a fairly large user base here that I can network
with. BTW, this does not mean I will be leaving this group. Just this address.
