convert to a sheet metal part

Hello,

The part posted with this question is made with Inventor 2013.I would prefer to make this part with the Sheet Metal tools .Please how would this be made with sheet metal tools and how do i flatten this piece?

You could simply Convert to Sheet Metal (see attached).  (done in student version - so examine and then delete)

or

you only need three lines 100, 30, 70 that's it - an open profile and use the Contoured Flange tool to create the bracket and then use the Cut just like you did Extrude.

You don't have to model bend radii. If you draw your contour flange profile to sharp corners Inventor will automatically draw bends in based on the bend radius specified in your sheetmetal defaults.

These parts are not the same.

You used 10mm external bend radius on both bends on first part

and 10mm on one external and on internal bend on second part.

As I initially wrote - you need only three lines in that first sketch - that's it.  Nothing more.
