Convert 2D INTO 3D

Need help converting my autocad mech. 2014 (2d) to Inventor 2014 (3d). Is there anywhere online I can go to for a more in depth explanation? Gone through the tutorials that's been offered but need some serious help, time is a factor.

I'm an experienced mechanical designer so I'm not inexperienced in drafting or its applications.

Appreciate any help I can get.

Thanks,

Tiger

Here a utility that will help: http://labs.autodesk.com/utilities/2d_to_3d_tool

Inventor 2020, In-Cad, Simulation Mechanical

Just insert the picture rather than attaching it as a file

OK, so I wrote the original ACAD to Inventor tutorials (the set of three using the electrical box).

What is it that you don't get?

Do you understand the project solid/subtract feature paradigm?

Do you understand that the ACAD geometry that you're starting with may not be of particularly high fidelity (when it comes to the expected accuracy that an Inventor sketch will want).
