hello
We are currently configuring the content centre to create suitabke art numbers for our ERP system.
We have a massive restriction on filename length so we are trying to rationalise the number of characters where possible
We have set up the content center but would like to streamline it a bit
We have a column in a family table for fasteners called 'coating'. This would be typically PTFE, BZP, GALV or NONE.
We would like a colum to the right in the table to represent a letter for each of these where
PTFE="B"
BZP="C"
GALV="D"
NONE=" "
we have done this in excel;
=IF(ISNUMBER(SEARCH("PTFE",E4)),"B",IF(ISNUMBER(SEARCH("BZP",E4)),"C",IF(ISNUMBER(SEARCH("GALV",E4)),"D",IF(ISNUMBER(SEARCH("NONE",E4)),"E",IF(ISNUMBER(SEARCH("",E3)),"ERROR","")))))
but would like to do it in the family table...is this possible?
attached is the view we are talking about
Thanks in anticipation
Graeme
Are you trying to get the column with the letter designation to auto populate based on the value of the coating?
