Constraints for assembly.

Having drawn the plate with holes , added the webs etc i now wish to put a load onto the plate surface to see the deflection, putting on the load has been easy, but when i try a simulation an error message keeps coming up " no constraints".

As far asi am aware i have constrained the webs to the plate.,the plate is not grounded, the only parts that are grounded are the 4 round feet.

What i am trying to do is create a scenario where the plate is acting like a table (the round feet acting as the legs) a load is then put on the top surface of the table-i wish to see the maximum deflection/distortion to ascertain the thickness of the required plate to avoid distortion.

Incidentally this assy is contained within the base of a pressure vessel.

The constraints problem does seem to be the sticking point.

Any suggestions please.

I recommend that you go through the tutorials first (an assembly must have parts).

An assembly file (*.iam) is only a list of hyperlinks to the part files (*.ipt) and a record of assembly constraints (and a bit more).

You must include the part files.

Thanks JD
I have solved the problem with additional constraints, originally the error was" not enough constraints".
The model is now reacting with the deflections in the expected areas.
