The only difference between doing this in Inventor rather than Solidworks is
that in Inventor you must project the origin center in each new sketch to snap
a line (or circle, or other sketch entity) to it. In Solidworks the origin is
already "projected" to any new sketch. If you have an equal sided polygon you
will need to create a construction circle from the center to a tangent in
Inventor, while Solidworks will automatically create the construction circle
any time you use the polygon tool. (On my wish list for Invenor)
