constrain multiple parts

I have an assembly where I have a round leg I am attaching mounting plates to the leg. Is there a way I can constrain all the plates tangent to the leg at one time?

I am using Inventor 2015 Pro

Is there any kind of pattern to the parts?

How many parts?

Can you attach screen capture image?

Assembly constraints are set up to be applied one part at a time. The only option would be if there was iMates assigned to each component and when used and the part is placed in a file it would automatically align. But No you can’t do multiple components with one constraint.

constraints are maintained now between copied parts..

Maybe you set 1 leg with its places then copy the leg/plate

Or pattern the leg component.

Thanks!

Thanks everyone for your inputs. I figured out what I was doing and have got all the parts constrained now. It was just a matter of not over thinking everything, and with the idea to use the patterns it made it a snap.

Again thanks to everyone.
