Constrain components like "FixTogether" of Catia

Hi,

I want to constrain two components in an assembly like  "FixTogether" of Catia.

In Catia, when FixTogether constrains is applied to two components and one component moves, the other moves such that relative position of two components does not change.

No geometry is required to constrain components.

I tried some combinations of constrains with Origin point and planes, but could do like Catia.

Note that in my case two components are in Library and cannot be edited.

Let me know if there is a good solution.

Kind regards,

Have you got an example or a simple picture showing what you are trying to achieve?

Hi! I don't think Inventor supports the exact same constraint. You will need to create multiple constraints (or using Constraint Set) to "synchronize" the two parts.

Another way to achieve your goal is to demote the two parts into a subassembly. Then the subassembly will lock the two parts in sync.

Thanks!
