When I click RETURN to go from a part back up to an assembly level, it would
be nice if the minus sign of the part I was working on turned into a plus
sign; meaning the part minimizes (collapses) in the browser.

I like a nice clean, condensed browser to work from.

Anyone else?

Thanks,
Doc

I agree, Dr. Phil!

I hate when after working on a few parts (in an assembly), my browser grows
3000%.

Good idea!

I'd go for that one. After all, when you edit a part from inside an assembly it
expands the part in the browser. Therefore Inv should collapse the part when
you've finished editing.

Yea, that's a silly way for the browser to act, Doc. This is going on my
wish list.

The interesting thing is that we implemented the expand on hover ability
some releases ago. It seems like a nice option would be to have an option
(with an interval timer) to undo an browser expansions - although, it could
be wierd to be working along and have your browser doing things on its own.

I am sure you have heard before but the hover auto expand is annoying (the one that expands nodes by just putting your mouse over it) However, expanding and then collapsing based off what a user has just done is smart. I find that when software tries to guess what you want it is hardly ever right, especially when there is more then one user. Keep up the good work. - ed -

Gary,
It went away with R6, the same time we lost re-order. Now that
re-order is coming back (thanks for that) this is going to drive people
nuts. It's already pushed me around the bend, just dragging the EOP in
parts. We REALLY need to be able to turn it off.

Yeah ... kind of like the pause for "select other" with an optional off
switch, but what would really be cool is if when you picked a part you could
have the browser display that part mid browser maybe and have it left
justify by default so if you made your file names too long you could still
see the first part of the file name in the browser without having to scroll
over.

And or (user option) show full name when clicking/hover whatever like in
windows I think, yep the browser needs slickin / customising some how.
With hot keys for expand / collapse etc, etc, .................
