Hi Guys,
Since autodesk developers didn't think of the fact that somebody might want to change the material of the bolt or hollow sections when it get's saved in the library, is there any way of changing the default saving path of the content center generated parts? These parts are getting saved in the library folder at the moment so Inventor doesn't allow me to change their material.
Thanks
Hi Barvas11,
Typically the strategy used for this is to create a "Librarian" project file, that does not include the path of the library set as a library. Then you set that project active and make all of the edits you need to. Then you set your standard project active again to do regular design work.
Will this work for you?
I hope this helps.
Best of luck to you in all of your Inventor pursuits,
Curtis

Hi,
Thanks for your answer but I have never created a project file before so I don't want to play about with this too much.
Hi Barvas11,
There would be 3 other ways that I can think of to accomplish this.

Hi Curtis,
That's the way I have been doing it but it's a pain..... I was looking for something permanent so that everybody in our office could change materials of the parts without moving them about.
