Changing range in linked Excel stock list

Ok I changed it to a pasted link to the external spreadsheet - that way it
looks like I now can right click on the spreadsheet in the IDW and get a
"Change Source" option. Then in a box in the open file dialogue, it looks
like you can change the range and even the sheet number. So I added a line
in row 41, inside Excel. When I go to change the range in the open file
dialogue from:
Sheet1!R1C1:R40C9
to
Sheet1!R1C1:R41C9
it tells me " Invalid Source: Do you want to correct it?" So I say yes. Well
then nothing changes. I thought, "well, ok maybe it needs to see me change
to a different file name", so I copied the file to another and no luck. So I
make sure the files are saved and Excel is closed - still no luck. I am
posting a sample IDW and Spreadsheet in CF for people with way too much time
on
their hands to try this and see if they can figure out what I'm doing wrong.
Thanks!

Nevermind - this is a total dead end, since it won't save out to an AutoCAD
drawing - another of my client's requirements. Worthless.

Won't save out if it's an embedded spreadsheet either.
Won't paste special as a dumb Picture Metafile or bitmap (dumb meaning
updates aren't reflected).

It's moments like these when you have to bite your tongue and appreciate
what you DO have. At least AIS comes with a copy of AutoCAD.
