Edit parts list style. In the "default columns setting" section right click on the property you want to change and select "format column" You can then select "apply units formatting" and change it to whatever you want.

I am not sure if this helps, but I found another way of doing it.

In my PART template select "Parameters"

Right click on an exported Parameter, EG. "LENGTH"

Select "Custom Property Format"

Set the "Unit String" ; "Leading and trailing zeros" ; and "Precision"

This can be done differently for the various Exported Parameters.

TIP:

If All the exported Parameters are to be the same, then check the "Tick Box" "Apply to existing comparable parameters"

All exported parameters will be configured.

Hi,

similarto the above issue, \in BOM, we are getting mass of one no only, even though there are 10 identical components. In anyway if it get multiplied automatically, it will be much useful.

Any options??

Thanks in advance,

Xmer

Hi

There are various posts on 'Substitution' in the BOM

A quick run down, but you might find more detailed explanations in the forum:

Right click on the column to be added in the BOM

click on the "Substitution" Tab

select 'Enable Value Substitution'

choose the value to be calculated, if need be create a custom property, set the row merge to "Sum of values"

Done.

how did you get the mass to show?

I used equasion volume*density in user parameters since did not know how to export it from physical properties to bom.

Hi, Why you have to give the equation. The 'mass' getting generated directly on the properties.

Wow, I've been searching for this answer for ever!  Thank you so much, this actually worked!!!  I was working on tube and pipe, and the important thing to note is to make sure the units are the same on both/any/all of the 'L' and "PL" length parameters.

Glad I could help.

It's great that a 12 year old post still has value.
