Changing default visible line weight

I want to changed the default visible line weight for all drawings. I just can't get it to work. I have changed my project file settings to "Read-Write", I have tried this in both the Default Standard and my own standard. I changed the "Visible (ANSI)" Line Weight, saved it, then hit "Save" on the Styles and Standards bar. It works for a document. But when I open a new document, the line weight has reverted back to the old value.

When you save anything to the styles you first have to make sure that your master project file is read/write.

Then when you have your settings set in the styles library select this button.

After you are done change your master project file back to read only.

Hope this helps you.

Once you have saved the style to the style library you will need to update all your drawings before the changes are reflected. Make sure the new drawing is using the ansi style as well. If it is using a differnt style you would need to change it, save it to the style library then update the next drawing.
If you are starting a new drawing from scratch it too would need updating. If you have enough priveledges in your company you could open the template file update the styles then save it back over the top of itself.

I changed the Read-Write back to Read-Only. Then I opened a new file and it still did not have the correct values.

Ah, I think I just needed to update the drawings. I thought it would have done it automatically. I think I'm good.
