Change Thumbnail Views

I have a couple of .ipt files (Inventor 2013) that when viewed as thumbnails are saved in the iso view.  I want to look at them straight on and save but can't seem to do this.  I went to iProperties and tried but they just won't save.  How can I do this?

From what you say, I expect you have tried this but I'll mention it in case you haven't.

You may need to dirty the file to force a save, change a dimension, parameter or colour then change back to original.

Set the view position as you want it to appear in the thumbnail.

Go to the iproperties save tab, set the radio button to active window and press capture.

Then save the file. This should get what you want, if not, there is probably something missing from Inventor installation.

You could try the import option if you have a 180 x 180 pixel image to import.

Hope this helps.

Thanks!  I was just closing the file without doing a file, save.
