change text set to 'prompted entry' into normal text?

In a title block

Is there a way to change text set to 'prompted entry' into normal text?

I could of course delete and retype but it would be good if I could just switch it back to text.

Yes you can. Operating in the title block definition you can quick change  a prompted entry in a simple text.

But you will obtain the Property Field text, no for sure the text value you used.

For example you have a promped entry named "Company Name" in the title block definition.

In your drawing you have compiled that Prompted Entry with "ACME SPA"

You can quite quickly change in the title block definition the Prompted Entry Text in a simple Text without retyping, but it has to be clear that the simple text you will get will be "Company Name" , not "ACME SPA".

Just change the "Type" drop down to any property category and then don't click the insert property button; this will convert you to just plain text.
