There has always been one thing about the Project Wizard that does not match our work flow as I would like. This is the default path in places for the new projects working directory. By default IV always wants to make this a subdirectory of the directory that has been pointed to as the project folder in app options. However, we have always just considered that directory a repository for the project file short cuts that populate the project dialog box.
In our environment, all users have a subdirectory for the IV home drive of F:\Inventor. Each projects home directory is a subdirectory of that.
The project folder is also a subdirectory of this. So when we create new project we always have to delete that part of the path to move up the working directory to the correct level.
The attched image should illustrate what I mean.
Is there a way not make IV use the project designated path by default?
