Change part reference in drawing

In solidworks, if I have several similar parts to draw, I can draw one part and annotate it and then to save time and effort I can save the drawing as one of the other parts and then change the part reference in the drawing as I open it up.

Is this possible in Inventor?

Thanks texteditor.

I do this often. Open ipt then save as new part.

Sorry not clear enogh in my explanation - in solidworks have 2 similar parts and do drawing of one with all sorts of views and annotations.

Then save drawing as drawing of second part and change reference in drawing to refer to second part _ drawing then opens up with similar drawing to first part but with all the views containing and referencing second part.

Not that I know of. Sounds like a good idea. I'd vote for that. Have a nice day. Gerry

Doesn't Manage>Modify>Replace Model Reference do the same thing?
