I have a .idw that is 8-1/2" x 11" and need to change it to D or E size sheet. Is there a way to do this once the drawing has already been saved?

Right-click on the sheet in the Browser pane and select "Edit Sheet". Select the size you want from the list or as cutom dimensions. Pick "OK" and it's done.
If you have a border and title block, you can change those too from the Drawing Resources folder in the Browser.
