Change height after mirror

I have modelled a small housing in Inventor LT and mirrored the base to give the top half. But the top will be higher than the base - how can I isolate the sketch for the top (at the moment if I make a change, it is reflected in both)

You are mirroring the top based and using the "Work Plane2" as your Mirror. Just increase the off-set distance of this workplane and the "lid will be farther away.

You might investigate the Move Bodies tool.

Blair: - But won't they both be farther away?

JD - yes, that will allow me to move the top to the correct position.. And I can "move face" to increase the height.

Isn't that the same thing, the bottom of the part is the bottom and the top is the top and the difference inbetween is all that really matters.
