.CFG files for Wiring

I can't seem to find the .cfg files that supposedly come with autocad Inventor to manipulate and export wiring information.  I've done a complete search of all my autodesk folders but it just doesn't seem to be anywhere.

Is there a place online where this file is mirrored and can be downloaded or copied?

Thanks,

Alan

Hi alanbailey1,

I think you'll need to download the sample files to find an example *.cfg file:

http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?siteID=123112&id=13923228&linkID=9242019

Once downloaded look for a sample at some path such as this:

...\Inventor 20xx\Cable & Harness\Samples\Wire List Import

I don't have the exact path in front of me at the moment.

I hope this helps.
Best of luck to you in all of your Inventor pursuits,
Curtis

Hello Alan,

Are you not looking for your wires and harness library with list all yopu cabkle components?

In this case you should search for an *.iwl files and not *.cfg. It should be

../Design data/Cable & Harness/fr-FR/Cable&HarnessDefaultLibrary.iwl

You have to replace "fr-fr" by your localization....

Regards,

John.
