Certified Associates Exam

I am interested in taking the Autodesk Inventor 2013 certified associates exam. The Autodesk website gave me a list of some training centers in my area (NYC 11357).

I Contacted the following:

Pratt Institute (they don't give the test)

Future Media Concepts (they don't give the test)

Imaginit Technologies (they have a test on Oct. 12 for $25) But never received a phone call back

I am looking to take the assessment test then some classes to improve my weak areas. Can someone please provide further information that may help me move forward. Thank you

You will not be able to use the software for the Associate Exam.

You should know the software forwards and backwards and upside down.

I assume you are aware of this website.

Make sure you are familiar with drawing environment including BOM, Hole Tables and similar.

Make sure you are familiar with iLogic.

autodesk got rid of the associate tests for 2013 only professional is available

User and Professional are both still available for 2013.

In regards to the office you called for IMAGINiT, did you talk to anyone or just leave a VM?  Depending on which office it was, sometimes it is hard to schedule the Exams.  If you DM me I can get you more information and a better contact to set something up.

After reviewing the Autodesk Inventor Certification 2013 Roadmap

ATC Instructor-Led Courses

Autodesk recommends that test takers consider a certification preparation course at one of these centers.

The ATC's in the New York area do not have this available.

I spoke with the Albany office at Imaginit, they indicated that they didn't think they had this course available. They said I might need to hire a instructor by the hour. That doesn't sound right based on the roadmap, however they will look into this and email some information.

I am going to register for the Autodesk Inventor 2013 pro exam and see what happens. Autodesk allows a person to take the exam three times within a 12 month period. I utilize Inventor daily for about 8-10 years now. How bad can I do? LOL

I am very interested in taking the instructor exam as well in the near future.
