Centerline Bisector

I have never been able to get a hold on making by centerlines come out the way I want using the centerline bisector command. The ones that are placed are not scalable and do not react as well to changes in the styles as do the centermarks. In the attached image you can see my setting, what I am getting, and what I want to be getting. At the moment I resort to view sketches to get it looking the way I want.

Any body got a handle on this and/or can see what I am doing or not doing with the styles to make this work for me?

If you just put your curser at the end of the centreline, you can 'grab' it to stretch it and make it longer....it will look like the one you drew in the sketch.
